In a city controlled by the unscrupulous Filthy Rich, what matters most is consuming much and thinking little. Mr Rich became wealthy by transforming the Golden City. The grass, trees, food and all that was natural have been replaced by industrial substitutes. Naturally, all the factories and shops are owned by Filthy Rich.
Only one thing mars his perfect plans: a group of curious kids, playing with science and nature, question his useless inventions. Casting doubt on Filthy Rich’s sales pitches, the children discover that the Golden City is already a beautiful, fun and healthy place to live! The kids become an obsession for Filthy Rich and his mascot, Penny Pincher, a mechanical invention in the form of a piggy bank.
